Canada wildfires: British Columbia under state of emergency

A state of emergency has been declared for the whole of Canada’s British Columbia province, where hundreds of separate fires are burning. Some fifteen thousand people have been ordered to evacuate their homes – and a number of buildings have already been destroyed in the city of West Kelowna.
