CBI boss Tony Danker dismissed over misconduct claims

The head of the CBI, one of Britain’s largest business groups, says he is shocked at being sacked over claims about his behaviour towards staff members at work.

Tony Danker insists many of the claims against him have been distorted. But he has been dismissed with immediate effect.

Following an investigation, three other CBI employees have been suspended over separate complaints, which the police are looking into

Many of those claims date back to before Mr Danker’s time as Director General.
