CBI survives confidence vote as members back reform

The new leadership of the Confederation of British Industry said they wanted to break with the organisation’s recent past.

Who could blame them – as director general Tony Danke was forced to resign in March following claims of misconduct.

Then came a slew of allegations from more than a dozen women against other CBI staff including allegations of rape.

Today, there was an extraordinary general meeting to vote on its future.
