3mCharlie Gard parents upset over ‘backlash’
The parents of Charlie Gard say they’re extremely upset at comments they’ve received since Great Ormond Street hospital revealed its staff have been targeted with violent threats and abuse over the case.
They’re campaigning for their 11-month-old, who suffers from a rare genetic condition and has brain damage, to be allowed to undergo a therapy trial in New York. The High Court is due to make a decision on that in the next few days.
