Child rescued from under car after tantrum

In China, a 5-year-old girl survives being run over after her parents left her in the road when she had a tantrum.

Security cameras in China caught the drama that unfolded after a small girl had a tantrum on her way to school. She roots herself to the ground and after the two adults with her repeatedly fail to get her to stand, they walk away in the expectation that she will follow.

Behind them a manoeuvring car moves forward without the driver seeing the child sitting just in front of the vehicle.

The mother turns around to see her daughter vanish under the car and rushes forward. As passers-by also see what is happening, a crowd gathers and manages to lift the car so the little girl can be pulled out.

She was subsequently given a quick dust-off and taken to hospital as a precaution, but was unharmed and later continued on her way to nursery school.
