Children who’ve suffered sexual abuse face increasing delays for justice, figures show

Channel 4 News has been given figures that show children who’ve suffered sexual abuse are facing increasing delays – sometimes up to several years – for perpetrators to be brought to justice.

The NSPCC children’s charity says the government is missing an opportunity to address the backlog of cases by failing to include measures to support these deeply traumatised young people in an upcoming bill.
