China opens world’s longest sea bridge

It stretches for 34 miles and took nine years to complete, but China’s president has officially opened the world’s longest sea bridge, linking Hong Kong with Macau and the Chinese mainland.

The bridge was supposed to be finished three years ago, at a cost of £15 billion, but the project was waylaid by safety problems.
