China US diplomatic crisis deepens as second Chinese balloon discovered

Not one but two Chinese spy balloons have now been spotted – the first is now flying over the US state of North Carolina – and President Biden says the US will “take care of it”.

Meanwhile, the Pentagon has confirmed that another one has been seen over Latin America.

There’s been an apology from Beijing – which claimed the first balloon was a weather ‘airship’ which just happened to blow off course.

But the diplomatic crisis is deepening.
