Chris Whitty ‘harassment’ footage sparks calls for police protection

The Prime Minister has condemned what he called the “despicable harassment” of England’s chief medical officer after a video was posted on social media appearing to show Professor Chris Whitty being accosted in a London park. The Metropolitan police are investigating the footage – while some MPs say leading scientific advisors should be given extra police protection.
