Church of England told to raise £1bn slavery reparations fund

When the Church of England was found to have profited off the slave trade, it promised to invest 100 million pounds in disadvantaged black communities.

But today an independent oversight group says that doesn’t go nearly far enough.

Instead the group set a one billion pound target for “healing, repair and justice”.
