Commons speaker pledges to meet newspaper editor over ‘misogynistic’ Angela Rayner article

The speaker of the House of Commons has promised to meet the editor of the Mail on Sunday to discuss an article which included misogynistic claims about Angela Rayner made by anonymous Tory MPs.

The prime minister described the claims as “sexist tripe”, saying it was “totally intolerable”.
