Concerns mount about impact of lockdown on some schoolchildren

As Scotland embarks on its most significant easing of lockdown measures yet, Nicola Sturgeon confirmed there have been no deaths among coronavirus patients there for a week.

But as the country begins opening up, including plans to reopen schools to all pupils in August, there are deep concerns about the impact that lockdown has had on some children’s education over the past few months.
