Conservatives face public test in three by-elections

In just over a week, voters will go to the polls in three separate by-elections across the country and they’re likely to be a significant test of public opinion.

As well as Boris Johnson’s former seat in Uxbridge and Ruislip, the Conservatives are also having to defend seats in North Yorkshire and Somerset.

And in the south west, it’s the Liberal Democrats hoping to repeat some recent by-election successes.
