Controversial Egyptian businessman Mohamed Al-Fayed dies at 94

Charming, extraordinary, flawed, vindictive. Some of the words used to describe Egyptian businessman Mohamed Al-Fayed, who has died at the age of 94.

He rose from selling fizzy drinks on the streets of Alexandria, to owning Harrods, Fulham Football Club and the Ritz in Paris. But he later became infamous for accusing the British royal family of being behind the deaths of Princess Diana and his son Dodi. And in recent years he himself was accused of sexual assault and racism.
