Coronavirus: are there hopeful signs from Europe?

While the daily numbers of coronavirus deaths still fluctuate in Italy and Spain, health officials in Europe’s two hardest-hit countries believe the spread of the outbreak does appear to be slowing.

It’s raising hopes that both nations may have passed their peaks.

Italy could even follow Austria and Denmark, which are considering lifting some restrictions, while Spain plans to increase testing as a step towards easing their lockdown.
