Cost of living: Johnson says government ‘has to fix’ child poverty crisis

Boris Johnson has admitted the number of children living in poverty is a problem that his government “has to fix”.

He made the comments against the backdrop of increasing pressure on the poorest households because of soaring food and energy bills.
