Covid: All adults to be offered booster jabs, as reported Omicron cases in UK reach 11

A booster campaign “on steroids”. That’s the government’s first line of defence against the Omicron variant as more cases are confirmed in the UK.

Everyone aged over 18 will now be able to get a booster jab three months after their second dose. Ministers said it is crucial to get ahead of any potential new wave.

England’s Deputy Chief Medical Officer Jonathan Van-Tam gave a message not to panic, but he warned this is no time to delay.
