Covid inquiry: Government seeks judicial review over order to hand over Johnson messages

Covid allowed the government to curtail our personal lives as never before.

This is the context against which Number 10 now claims that some messages including Boris Johnson’s notebooks and WhatsApps are too personal to hand over.

Hours ago the deadline came but the messages did not.

The Cabinet Office has dug in, refused and upped the ante, by seeking a judicial review into the Covid Inquiry’s order to release the information in the first place.
