Covid: Parents on whether schools in England should reopen or stay shut

We spoke to two mothers.

Sammie McFarland, whose 14-year-old daughter has had Covid and is still unwell, is the founder of Long Covid Kids, a group of parents who are worried about the long-term impact of the virus on their children and believe schools aren’t safe to reopen.

Molly Kingsley is the co-founder of the group Us for Them, which is campaigning for schools to reopen as quickly as possible.
