Covid reinfections now included in government daily figures

Anyone looking at the Government’s Covid-19 dashboard will have seen a big jump in the numbers.

For the first time in the pandemic, reinfections have been included in the daily figures.

It is a way, scientists say, of tracking the evolution of the epidemic.
