Creating deepfake porn to be made a criminal offence after C4 investigation

Creating sexually explicit deepfake images is to be made a criminal offence in England and Wales.

In an exclusive investigation last month this programme reported on more than 250 famous Britons – from film, tv and social media as well as politicians and journalists – have been targeted, including our own presenter Cathy Newman.
