Death toll rises to 24 in devastation of Australian bushfires

For months the town of Eden in Australia felt like a paradise truly lost, engulfed by flames.

Today Eden got a little respite. The arrival of the rain was ‘heaven sent’ said one resident, but a little rain won’t be enough to stop the ferocious fires that continue to rage across the country.

Earlier, another person was killed bringing the death toll 24. Hundreds have lost their homes.
