DEC Chief Executive Saleh Saeed: UK Government must do all it can to help end Yemen war

One child dies every ten minutes in Yemen because of the ongoing war between the government and Houti rebels.

More than 20 million people are now in need of humanitarian assistance. The Disasters Emergency Committee raised £30 million in a crisis appeal.

The DEC Chief Executive Saleh Saeed has just returned from Yemen. He went there to see for himself how the millions of pounds that was raised was being used in projects to help those who’ve been displaced by the war. He joins us from Birmingham.
