Democratic National Convention: what can Kamala Harris learn from Chicago ‘68?

Kamala Harris will be officially crowned by the Democrats as their presidential candidate this week.

One of the first speakers at the convention will be the current president. Joe Biden will take to the stage in the same city where 56 years ago – the Democrats did exactly the same thing – nominated the vice president because the sitting president had dropped out.

Back then, there were divisions within the party, anti-war protests on the streets, and a Republican rival talking all about law and order. Sound familiar?
