Does climate change mean much more extreme weather?

Just days before this massive storm slammed into Texas, President Trump scrapped a raft of federal flood protection standards which Barack Obama had introduced: measures which would legally have to take into account the impact of climate change.

Along with what’s happening in America, India, Bangladesh and parts of south Asia are also inundated by severe monsoon flooding. So does climate change mean these kind of events will become a grimly inevitable prospect in future?
