Donald Trump reportedly wants to testify before January 6 committee

In the US, Donald Trump has reportedly said he would like to testify before the January 6 committee about the deadly attack on the US Capitol by a mob of his supporters.

He was called to testify after being accused of a “staggering betrayal of his oath”.

The committee maintains he deceived his followers with a plan to overturn his 2020 election loss, despite being told by aides he had lost the election to Biden.
