Former Channel 4 News producer in Mogadishu, Duguf – Mohammed Abdullahi Farah, died on Wednesday from Covid.
Mohammed Abdullahi Farah- known to all as Duguf – a Somali journalist who contributed extraordinary footage and stories from Mogadishu and Somalia for Channel 4 News sadly died there from Covid.
Duguf’s footage of the Ethiopian invasion of Somalia in 2008 won countless awards including one given to him by Prince Charles. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

In 2007, Channel 4 news commissioned the Somali cameraman to record life in Mogadishu. His pictures captured the complete disintegration of normal life.
