Edinburgh says farewell to Queen Elizabeth II

Edinburgh’s Royal Mile is a narrow stretch of cobbled road where thousands of people from all over United Kingdom and the world packed in – cheek by jowl – to watch the Queen’s coffin make its journey from the Palace of Holyroodhouse in a slow procession to St Giles’ Cathedral half way up the hill.

The predominant sound was silence followed by reflections.
