Eluned Morgan becomes Welsh Labour’s first female leader

Health Minister Eluned Morgan has been confirmed as the first female leader of Welsh Labour.

She’s also set to succeed Vaughan Gething as the First Minister of Wales – eight days after he announced he would resign.

Nominations closed at midday with her, the only contender.
