Emergency workers scramble to lower water levels at Whaley Bridge dam

Emergency workers are scrambling to lower water levels behind a badly damaged dam in Whaley Bridge as the risk of collapse remains at a ‘critical level’.

Around fifteen hundred residents have been evacuated from their homes in case the dam bursts and floods the entire town. Our home affairs correspondent Darshna Soni reports from Whaley Bridge.
