Emotional Biden passes torch to Harris at Democratic National Convention

It was the speech President Joe Biden didn’t want to give.

A speech bringing down the curtain on a political career lasting more than fifty years.

Biden got several minutes of emotional, standing ovation here in Chicago – Democrats cheering his dedication and surely also his decision to pass the baton to Kamala Harris.

He praised his vice-president as the best hope to protect American democracy, as he laid out his own achievements in office and laid in – to Donald Trump.
