Theresa May’s promised to transform the way domestic violence is dealt with. But as spending cuts force the closure of women’s refuges, many victims are fearful for the future. Our Social Affairs Editor Jackie Long speaks to women in a refuge in Berkshire who say going into the secure house quite literally saved their lives.
