EU and Apple discuss company’s tax arrangements

Europe’s Competition Commissioner has confirmed she has spoken to the tech giant Apple about controversial, but legal, tax structures revealed in the so-called Paradise Papers. According to the latest revelations, Apple apparently moved key parts of its business, worth hundreds of billions of dollars, to Jersey in order to maintain a low tax regime. Apple has said it remains the world’s largest taxpayer.
