EU leaders back Brexit delay

Westminster, the UK and Europe, all in Brexit limbo, waiting to hear whether MPs will restart their scrutiny of the government’s Brexit bill or if there will be a general election before the end of the year.

Boris Johnson and Jeremy Corbyn met for private talks this morning, but failed to agree on a new programme for the bill.

The EU is expected to tell the government how long it will extend Britain’s membership for by the end of this week.
