It’s a year since the Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich was arrested in Russia and accused of spying for the US.
The 32-year-old American is in Moscow’s notorious Lefortovo Prison awaiting trial – one of a growing number of US citizens or dual nationals behind bars in Russia. Targeted, Washington says, to be used as bargaining chips.
