Ex-Trump aide Manafort ‘held secret talks with Assange’

As Donald Trump’s attacks against Robert Mueller grow louder and more vicious, Special Counsel Robert Mueller, who is investigating links between Russia and the Trump campaign team, has now alleged the former manager of that campaign, Paul Manafort, has been lying to investigators, in breach of his plea deal.

It comes as The Guardian reports that Manafort secretly met WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange at the Ecuadorian Embassy in London, in the month he became convention manager for Team Trump. Both WikiLeaks and Manafort deny the report.
