Throughout the three decade long history of the Mercury Prize, there had been numerous albums shortlisted by jazz acts.

And yet until now, not one of them had won.

But that changed with the victory of Ezra Collective’s album ‘Where I’m Meant to Be’ last week.

The jazz quintet used their momentous moment to highlight the importance of youth clubs on their journey.
