Faith leaders discuss the significance of inclusivity in King Charles’ coronation

Presenter

Female bishops took part for the first time, as did representatives of other religious groups – in keeping with the King’s expressed wish to be a defender of all faiths.

Just after the service, as the Abbey’s bells rang, we caught up with Bishop Guli Francis-Dehqani, who carried the king’s chalice, and Bishop Rose Hudson-Wilkin, who presented the Queen’s rod.

But first we spoke to Aliya Azam and Malcolm Deboo, who represented Muslim and Zoroastrian worshippers, and began by asking them about the significance of having other faiths represented at the service.
