It was once seen as a beacon of liberalism. But the Netherlands has sent shockwaves through Europe, handing a dramatic election victory to far-right populist Geert Wilders.
Curbing immigration is his top priority.
But he’s toned down his anti-Islam rhetoric, putting his plan to ban mosques on hold, and pledging to be “prime minister for everyone”.
First though, he needs to form a coalition – not an easy task.
