Farron issues tactical vote plea

The Lib Dem leader Tim Farron has been touring the country too, calling for people to vote tactically to send what he called a “powerful message” to Theresa May. With his party consistently trailing in the polls, Mr Farron insisted the Lib Dems could double their numbers in Parliament, telling Fatima Manji they are likely to be the only opposition party making any gains.
