Fears over TikTok misinformation ahead of US midterm elections

With just a few months to go before America’s mid term elections, the pressure is on social media platforms to stop the spread of fake news.

TikTok says it’s set up a dedicated election centre to moderate posts and flag up credible information, but critics fear fakes and conspiracy theories are still getting through.
