Female firearms officer could receive £1.2m in employment tribunal payout

A female firearms officer who was told she would have to make do with body armour made for men could be in line for one of the biggest payouts of its type at an employment tribunal at England’s second largest police force.

West Midlands Police are facing a claim of £1.2 million.

As this programme exclusively revealed in May they’ve admitted liability in the Inspector’s claims of harassment, victimisation and discrimination.
