Filmmaker Desiree Akhavan: ‘Bisexuality the last taboo’

It’s a film about sexuality, acceptance and coming of age, which won the Grand Jury prize at the Sundance Film Festival, based on a true story about a teenage lesbian who’s sent to a ‘conversion therapy’ camp in 1990s Montana. The Miseducation of Cameron Post is directed by the US/Iranian filmmaker Desiree Akhavan, who’s becoming known for her bold, uncompromising statements about gender in the modern age.
