First aid shipment reaches Gaza via newly-built pier

Vital aid has started flowing into Gaza via the newly-built US pier, including shelter kits from Britain. It’s rare good news for the people there, who are on the brink of famine – though aid agencies say it’s not a substitute for land deliveries, which can bring in far more food, water and fuel.

While in Israel, heartbreak, but also closure, for the families of three people killed by Hamas – whose bodies troops have recovered from Gaza.
