Folk musicians descend on Glasgow for Celtic Connections festival

Thousands of musicians from countries across the world have descended upon Glasgow to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the folk festival Celtic Connections.

With a reputation for pushing musical boundaries this year’s line-up features a performance of previously unfashionable Irish songs but also, appropriately this evening, music influenced by the great Scottish bard Robert Burns.
