Former GCHQ worker jailed for life for attempted murder

A former worker at the UK’s intelligence, security and cyber agency base GCHQ, has been jailed for life for the attempted murder of an American government employee.

Joshua Bowles repeatedly stabbed the woman as she left a nearby leisure centre in what the judge at the Old Bailey called a “politically motivated attack” driven by “anger and resentment” towards GCHQ and women.
