Former Health Secretary Sajid Javid backs Truss in Tory leadership contest

Conservative leadership rivals Rishi Sunak and Liz Truss are going head-to-head this evening for their third hustings in front of party members.

Liz Truss received a boost within the last hour with former Health Secretary Sajid Javid announcing that he is backing her.  

Party members in Cardiff will have the chance to question her over her screeching U-turn yesterday on slashing pay for public sector workers.
