Former Trump opponents back him for presidency in show of Republican unity

Matt Frei: Party political get-togethers like the Republican National Convention are an opportunity for the faithful to hang out and to celebrate their brand and their man. They don’t really care what the rest of the world thinks or says about Donald Trump.

But the rest of the world should pay attention to what is being set out and celebrated in the hall behind me. If Trump gets re-elected in November – and new polling shows that is increasingly likely – then his next administration will be even more America first and America alone than the last one. And it’s all about one man and his family.
