Forty-one dead in Moscow passenger plane fire

Investigators in Moscow are examining what could have caused yesterday’s fire on board an Aeroflot passenger jet, which left 41 people dead.

Russian authorities said they were looking into whether pilot error, technical malfunction or adverse weather was to blame – amid reports that lightning could have hit the plane after takeoff.
