France pension protests: King Charles’s state visit postponed amid unrest

It was common sense and friendship according to the French President Emmanuel Macron – after calling King Charles and postponing his French visit.

Buckingham Palace said the King and Queen Consort would look forward to visiting France “as soon as dates can be found”.

More than a million people took to the streets of Paris and other French cities last night in the latest protests against raising the pension age without a parliamentary vote.
